Bangkok
Stay from
Bangkok, one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities, is the capital of Thailand. Bangkok is hot and crowded, but it's fairly clean and offers lots of fun things to do. Bangkok has great shopping, plenty of culture, amazing temples, delicious food and a decent art scene. Most of Bangkok's sights are concentrated on the island of Rattanakosin, often referred to as the Old City. The Grand Palace is the absolute must see site. The Grand Palace complex also houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Keow, the most sacred Buddhist temple. Other famous temples in Bangkok are the Wat Pho and Wat Arun temples. Bangkok is a great place for shopping. There are many shops, shopping centers and markets to satisfy every wish. The nightlife scene in Bangkok is as varied as the city itself, from beer bars to exclusive clubs, night shopping markets, discos to hippie parties. Bangkok is a large sprawling metropolis, noisy and crowded yet peaceful and delicate. It is one of the world’s top destinations that one has to visit at least once in life. - 29 Mar

Railway Market, Floating Market, & Ayutthaya Ruins Day Trip
Experience

Discover three of the most famous sites in Bangkok on this day trip. See the floating market of Damnoen Saduak, the Railway Market, and the ruins of Ayutthaya!
Embark on a fascinating day trip showcasing three renowned landmarks in Bangkok: the bustling floating market of Damnoen Saduak, the unique Maeklong Railway Market, and the historical ruins of Ayutthaya!
Details of the Day Trip
Your adventure begins with a pickup from the MBK Shopping Center in Bangkok, followed by a journey southwest to the vibrant Maeklong Railway Market. After approximately 1.5 hours on the road, you will arrive at this lively market, where local products are readily available and, with a bit of luck, you might witness a train making its way through the market.
The next stop is the iconic floating market of Damnoen Saduak, an enchanting maze of canals lined with merchants offering their goods from traditional boats. Here, you'll have the opportunity to board one of these vessels for a true Thai shopping experience.
Following your excursion at the floating market, take some time to enjoy lunch and soak in the delightful atmosphere before we continue to the ruins of Ayutthaya. This historical site once served as the capital of the Kingdom of Siam from the 14th to the 18th century and was a significant trade hub.
During your visit, you'll explore the remnants of key temples in the area, including Wat Mahathat, Wat Yai Chai Mongkon, and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. Prepare to be amazed by the renowned Buddha head intertwined with tree roots at Wat Mahathat, the impressive stupa of Wat Yai Chai Mongkon, and the temple of Wat Phra Si Sanphet, which was once part of the royal palace in Ayutthaya. With the guidance of your tour leader, you will uncover the historical importance of each site and admire the numerous Buddha sculptures that adorn the area.
At the end of this enriching day, you'll be returned to the original pickup location, concluding your journey 12 hours after departure.
Alternate Tour Options
For those interested in more flexibility, consider booking a day trip to Ayutthaya and a separate tour of the Maeklong Railway Market and Floating Market, both available individually.
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the MBK Shopping Center, located at Phaya Thai Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. We'll meet at the entrance of the ground floor next to the Beef Master Restaurant. You can see the exact location of the meeting point at the following Google Maps link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qQWeTZosh5V6zAy88. Please arrive at least 10 minutes beforehand.
